Privacy Policy
At Temp Mail Org (https://tempmailorg.com), your privacy is our primary priority. This policy outlines what information is collected, how it is handled, and how your data is protected when using our temporary disposable email service.
1. Data Minimization Principles
We practice strict data minimization. Unlike conventional email providers:
- We do not require registration, personal names, phone numbers, backup email addresses, or personal passwords.
- We do not create persistent user profiles or sell user analytics to third-party data brokers.
- We do not log user browsing histories or associate your temporary address with your personal identity.
2. How Data is Processed (Mail.tm Open API)
Temp Mail Org operates as a client interface communicating with the Mail.tm open email service:
- Local Session Tokens: Your temporary account identifier and authorization token are stored locally in your browser's
localStorage. This allows you to refresh the page without losing access to your active address. - Ephemeral Storage: Received emails are temporarily stored on the mail server infrastructure and are automatically and permanently deleted after a limited retention window (typically 24 to 48 hours).
- In-Transit Encryption: All requests to generate accounts and fetch messages use HTTPS / TLS encryption.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
We only use necessary client-side storage technologies:
- localStorage: Retains your active temporary email address and session token so you can continue reading incoming messages across tab refreshes.
- Theme Preference: Stores your light or dark mode visual preference in
localStorage.
4. Privacy Limitations & User Responsibility
While temporary emails shield your primary inbox from spam, they are not designed for sensitive, confidential, or permanent communications:
- Anyone who knows or guesses a custom public mailbox name might theoretically read incoming messages sent to that address.
- Once you delete your mailbox or clear your browser data, messages cannot be recovered.
- Do not use temporary emails for banking, legal matters, medical records, or long-term account logins.
5. Regulatory Frameworks (GDPR & CCPA)
Because Temp Mail Org does not collect, record, or retain personally identifiable information (PII) such as real names, physical addresses, or phone numbers, we have no personal data databases to monetize or distribute.
